Terms of Use

This document applies to the EventCampus mobile application and the eventcampus.net website.
1. Introduction and acceptance
By using the EventCampus mobile application (“App”) and website, you are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the App or the website.
2. Description of the service
The App allows users verified with a university email address to view campus events, join events, and create events. The scope and features of the App may be updated without prior notice.
3. Account creation and identity information
During registration, you are asked for your first name, last name, university email address, selected university, and password. You are responsible for the accuracy and security of your account information (especially not sharing your password with third parties).
Registration with a university email is used for access control within the campus community. Unauthorized use of another person's account is prohibited.
4. Notifications
The App may request notification (push) permission from your device when appropriate (e.g., after login). If you grant permission, notifications may be sent for event and account-related information. You may restrict or revoke permission at any time in device settings; some features may then be limited.
5. Participating in events
After logging in, you may request to join events from the home screen. Participation may be subject to approval by the event organizer or technical processes under App rules.
6. Creating events, location, date-time, and images
When creating an event, you are asked to select the event location and specify start/end date and time. You may optionally add photos related to the event from your device gallery; the operating system may request gallery/media access permission for this.
You are responsible for ensuring uploaded content complies with copyright, personality rights, and applicable law. Misleading, unlawful, rights-infringing, or spam content is prohibited. Content or events may be removed and your account suspended when necessary.
7. Prohibited uses
You may not use the App to harm systems, compromise security, harass other users, or for purposes contrary to applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
The App cannot be held directly liable for events and content created by users. The occurrence, safety of events, and relations with third parties are the responsibility of organizers and participants.
Reasonable efforts are made for temporary access issues due to force majeure, maintenance, or third-party service outages; uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
9. Changes to the terms
These Terms of Use may be updated. Material changes may be announced via in-app notification, the website, or similar means. Continued use of the App after the updated text is published may constitute acceptance of the new terms.
